I received the following email today from Anna Pentecost, our Parish Clerk, who is doing an excellent job of keeping us informed.
It is about the full planning application from Savills being lodged with Cornwall Council and how its eventual public appearance on Cornwall Council’s Planning website will affect the timing of the Parish Council’s Public Meeting about this issue (still no sign of the application on Cornwall Council website as of today, Friday 25th November).
Excerpt from the email is posted here with her permission:
I have had a response from Savills re the missing plans, according to them the delay has been with Cornwall Council. They think that the consultation time may extend into the New Year by the time they finally make an appearance on the Cornwall Council website.
Hopefully that will be the case, as I know that people are very busy or even away over the Christmas period. As soon as I get the plans I will re-schedule the meeting.
I was talking to another lady from Saltbox today. She was concerned that if the meeting was very near Christmas, there would not be many members of the public coming along to the planning meeting. I have reassured her that the Parish Council are very aware of peoples’ views and will also have read any comments put on line. I have also forwarded any emails on.
Would you please reassure those other residents that use your website that a lack of numbers attending would not indicate to the Parish Council that people are not concerned with the application. My councillors are very good at doing their homework!
